We will also be selling items that won't be moving with me. This includes many archival papers, printmaking items, frames, collected and traded artworks and crafts, ceramics, glassware and Japanese items, and countless things I cannot think of today. The outbuilding/ studio is being dismantled, so many presses, cabinets, drafting tables and other furnishings will be offered. If you have a specific item you are looking for, feel free to call or email. There will probably be a final barn auction held at the end of April, date to be determined.

If you are interested in purchasing this unique rural property, give me a call. The 5,600 sq ft contemporary home is rustic, 25+ yrs old and has 4.5 baths, 5 bedrooms, fireplace and a lower level efficiency apartment. The outbuilding is 5,000 sq ft, including a state-of-the-art workshop and 5" reinforced concrete floor throughout. The buildings sit on 25 wild acres on a dead-end road, filled with wildlife and bordered by good neighbors. Located in Rock County, Edgerton School District, 10 miles from I-90, 130 miles from Chicago, 30 miles from Madison.

Dennis Photo

On June 8th, 2007, my dear husband, Dennis McWilliams, died unexpectedly. He was my best friend for more than thirty years, as well as my master printer and partner in Hunt-Wulkowicz Graphics. We worked together daily with few exceptions, and were married for twenty six years. In 1989 we moved from Chicago to this beautiful country location in rural Wisconsin, to raise our daughter, Haven. We have missed him greatly, and I will never forget the important place he held in my heart, and the important contribution he made to my artwork as well.

But now I must move into the future with a positive attitude and new enthusiasm. I will be relocating from the country into an historic 1869 cream brick beauty at 220 S. Academy Street in Janesville. My mother, Jan Hunt, will move up from Chicago, and we will create art and music together, for the first time since I left home. Once we are settled here, we intend to establish a once-a-month social event, art and music oriented, and hope to see many of you at one of our lively gatherings.

To bid farewell to this amazing home and print studio, and to celebrate the move to the new building, I will hold a final Open House event that will include both locations. My artwork will be on display in both places, but we will also present a Memorial Exhibition of Dennis McWilliams' artwork at the Williams Road address, which held his unrealized dreams for a Midwest Print Center and Workshop. This will be the last chance to visit this small piece of printmaking history.

This spring the Smithsonian National Gallery of Art has accepted my etching, An Early Autumn, into its collection. I am incredibly honored. Thank you, Janet and Thomas Sutter, and David Prosser, for making this possible.
